We try a lighter version
ImageFit tries compression settings, then smaller dimensions if you allow it. PNG compression uses resizing, not a quality slider.

What happens to my files?
Files, names and image metadata are processed in this browser tab. This app has no file-upload endpoint, accounts, local storage or third-party scripts. Optional anonymous action counts are off unless you explicitly allow them for this page. No file names, contents, metadata or entered values are sent; you can stop sharing at any time. The hosting provider still receives normal requests to load the website.
Outputs are redrawn from decoded pixels, so original EXIF metadata, including GPS location, is not copied. Browsers may add their own color or resolution metadata. Clearing or leaving the tab releases the app’s working copies; downloaded files stay on your device.
What is supported?
Static JPEG, PNG and WebP in a modern browser. Animated files, GIF, HEIC and SVG are rejected. Up to 6 files, 25 MB each, 60 MB total, 24 million pixels per image and 16,384 pixels per side. Large files may be slow on phones.
JPEG orientation is applied before resizing. Transparent PNG and WebP can stay transparent; converting to JPEG requires an explicit background choice. Changing format does not make a file acceptable to every portal.
Why could a file get larger or fail to fit?
Browser encoders differ. A tiny or well-compressed original may not shrink when redrawn. Very low targets, minimum dimensions, higher quality floors, or disabling resizing can make the limit impossible. You can still download the smallest tested result, clearly marked when over the limit.
Can I inspect or use this offline?
ImageFit is original, dependency-free, open-source software. Download the source package, serve its dist folder locally, and use it without an internet connection. It has no AI processing or paid API dependencies.
